The Architect’s Apprentice is set in the Ottoman Empire during the 16th century and follows Jahan, a young boy who arrives in Istanbul and becomes the apprentice of the legendary architect Mimar Sinan. As Jahan grows, he learns the art and science of architecture while working on some of the empire’s most iconic structures. Along the way, he develops friendships, faces rivalries, and experiences love and loss. Through his journey, the novel explores the grandeur of the Ottoman court and the challenges of creativity, loyalty, and ambition. It examines themes of art, mastery, power, identity, and the search for belonging.
